Holiday in Langenboom
Monica and Marleen are on holiday with a group of eight residents. Monica explains: on Friday we went sailing on the Biesbosch, or - as Karen puts it: the biesbosboes :). It was a pleasant but also very warm cruise. Fortunately we were able to order fries and coke on the terrace; the holiday has started well!
We stay in a very large house and are often surprised with visits from goats and big hares. There is a beautiful pond nearby, which we regularly walk to.
Nico said that he lived in the area – later he moved to Titurel, when Titurel just started, fun! Nico treated us to a tour of the places he knew; his family home, its old school. We visited the cemetery where his parents found their final resting place, that was a beautiful and special moment. We also visited the adjacent church, that made Frank very happy.
On Tuesday we went on an adventure in Toverland. Those who were tough enough went on the roller coaster, the others watched it go and enjoyed a cup of coffee in the meantime. We tried to avoid the crowds, so unfortunately we weren't able to take all the roller coasters. When we asked what we were going to eat, everyone agreed immediately: MacDonalds! A nice end to a successful day.
You understand that we already have a great week so far :)!
