Titurel and Cargill Bergen op Zoom write a joint piece of history
Already in spring 2018 Cargill said Bergen op Zoom Foundation Titurel each other in a match, organized by Foundation Together in the region.
We met: During a tour Titurel get you quickly feel at the ins and outs of our residents. We talked about how we see and care design; the importance of self (stay) to develop your talents and, the importance of being there for each other and care, write history together.
And so it began ... our shared history with Cargill
Bergen op Zoom. We expressed some long-cherished wish ... the first was: a
beautiful, new tent. To establish if we (jaar)celebrate, when we
organize the annual family, or simply - a long summer
table to put underneath and then enjoy a nice long evening.
They could at Cargill some way - the result is a beautiful
Bedouin tent they sponsored us. Happy with!
Because we believe in reciprocity as the basis for good band, have a number of residents of Titurel - under the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of Cargill, so a little sneaky – best packed many give aways.
had another dream: the construction of a voedselbos - adjacent to the entrance of the forest, Near the lawn. The picture we had long in our heads: planting shrubs, trees and plants. bring those our fruits, grades, seeds, sheet(edible) and spices ... to use all the own kitchen. Moreover, planting flowers also creates more nectar in the forest, which in turn is good for the insects and birds - so we work on increasing the biodiversity in the forest. Our dream turned out fine too match the annual Earthday Cargill - decided to this one wanting to make contribution.
The Cargill Earthday traditionally takes place in April, this However, it was not the right season to plant anything - we made a nice symbolic image which we recorded the intention - and agreed with each other To get started in the autumn. In early December a modest number Cargill Staff members, along with some residents, supervisors, the gardener and Titurel the ranger to work to achieve the voedselbos.
There were a total of 1200 (!) trees, shrubs and herbs planted - all carefully thought out by the forester and the volunteer gardener Titurel. On their instructions shrubs and plants were planted in the right place - what a job!
Now nature should continue to pick up ... hopefully we can all feast this summer of the first harvest!
