Laying the foundation stone, symbol for a bright future - by Lukas

After the first announcement “we are going to build” - the work started smoothly and plans were developed. The plans will be sharp and concrete in February, the schedule is in order.

We left!

We want to symbolize this start by placing something under the foundation; something our dreams, expectations, maybe our frustrations about the long wait…translates, imagines. This is how our thoughts about placing a foundation stone are formed.

The cornerstone
The foundation stone symbolizes all dreams, wishes and expectations that we want to give for the houses. Lukas asks all residents, to give employees and volunteers 'shape' in one way or another the thoughts that people have about this.

What comes next, is a special process.
The most special contributions have been made at various places and times… One person has made something for the house on Bieduinenhof or something for the house on the Cluse – many people contributed to both houses. In the end, all drawings, symbols from nature, poems, craft- and artworks,…. collected. Together they form the foundation stone: a fusion of many dreams, wishes and expectations.

Op vrijdag 5 In March the foundation stone was placed on the heart of the central axis of the building at Bieduinenhof during a beautiful, joint, ceremony. On Thursday 11 March we placed the ground stone in the heart of the large hall of the house on the Cluse.

So that the collective soul of this group can form and manifest itself in the organization of Titurel, and it may inspire the people who work there in their daily actions.
The heart of this building has been determined on the basis of the golden ratio, with the head turned to the East, from which the light comes and we wake up.
The collection of contributions has been bundled in various ways that do as much justice as possible to the content.”
