In the morning we load early in the back to the buses. Windows crabs, defrost locks and thick gloves along. It's cold ...... ..erg cold and we .... will truncate!
Three busloads we drive Nispen to help the people of the Forestry Commission with maintaining an area named "Everland". The wood stoves are already, a shelter was set up and Peter explains the work.
Many hands make light work and that shows too. Making the small willow branches we have a kind of shore where again live birds and mice in. And if mice get to live there raptors in the area. Of the large thick stems, we saw pieces about 60 cm in length. This will use them for a path where the cart over to.
Normally it is very swampy land, dropping it in the mud (Vandaar derived). Now we do not suffer from it, because the ground is hard by the frost.
We eat tomatoes- and pea soup on a stove where we pancakes to baking. Peter explains the area and its history, he let the mobile museum where a lot of interest is.
So beautiful what they have found all, shards, pipes and even traces of musket balls. French soldiers here have homemade balls and flints. Do you know how they know ...? This is reflected by the color of flint.
The day passes quickly and we get tired but satisfied back on Titurel.
