Chasin the sunset!

If you live in Brabant or the surrounding area, then you might read it in the newspaper: former world champion Adrie van der Poel and Jan Prop, co-GP driver and employed by the municipality of Woensdrecht, are going to organize a bucket list cycling event for avid cyclists in June. They go in three days 900 km cycling – an event they want to raise money with, and that money… is destined for Titurel! How come?
The “Grand Prix Adrie van der Poel Foundation” annually organizes the final of the Cyclo-cross World Cup in Hoogerheide.. Since 2018 they also organize the event “Unique Sports” in June.  Our residents have enthusiastically participated in every "Unique Sports" event and were always there with a large group. Last year the event was canceled due to the pandemic and unfortunately it is not in it this year either. As an alternative, organizers Jan Prop and Adrie van der Poel came up with the cycling event “Chasin the Sunset”. They go up the pedals in Kapellen, Belgium. After three very tough stages of about 300 km, which must be completed before sunset, the tour ends in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat in the heart of France. In this town lived the – in 2019 passed away – popular cycling legend Raymond Poulidor, father-in-law of Adrie van der Poel.
Jan Prop forms a duo with cycling buddy Huub Kools. The cycling buddy with whom Adrie van der Poel will form a duo, is still a secret.
