Advent celebration, text by Monique

After the turmoil of the autumn winter season by turning inward, silence and contemplation. The peace that makes us keep our forces to come out in full glory again in the spring. Refreshed and full of plans. But in winter it is so nice to be inside, together, and play in the heat games.
The countdown to Christmas has officially begun and we would like to celebrate here with a ritual. The first Advent candle allowed in the countdown to the birth of the Christ Child. This child as a symbol for the enlightenment of mankind.
So yes, Titurel abuzz today. It is Advent and we moved all together to the chapel.
Our beautiful chapel, with a large spiral of pine green on the ground, symbol to turn inward, go to your center. In the middle of the spiral flickers a lonely candle, symbol of light and connectedness. And all of us around it, together, singing.
And so we have one by one made the journey to the center of the spiral, quietly and deliberately stepping, there to stabbing our own candle to that one large candle in the middle.
Then we could put our own light next to the path, cautious. And so it was slowly added to a spiral of twinkling lights, warmth and connectedness.
Let the winter now coming…
